Allies Take a Musical Stand

Seattle hip-hop artists Macklemore & Ryan Lewis released "Same Love" in support of Referendum 74, which would uphold marriage equality in Washington.  The song, featuring Mary Lambert, was inspired by Macklemore's gay uncles, who obviously knew a thing or two about love.

I'm grateful to my fellow Seattle denizens, and thrilled the "Same Love" video has gone viral.  Also, their debut album, "The Heist," is at the top spot on iTunes.  Not bad for an independent album with an unabashedly pro-gay song.
