Another African Headache

The hits keep coming from Africa.

Nigeria criminalized homosexuality, Uganda's president plans to sign that country's infamous anti-gay law, and yesterday Gambia's President Yahya Jammeh, speaking on state television, said, "We will fight these vermins called homosexuals or gays the same way we are fighting malaria-causing mosquitoes, if not more aggressively."

With mosquito nets?  Pesticides?  Fly swatters?

Jammeh added, "As far as I am concerned, LGBT can only stand for Leprosy, Gonorrhoea, Bacteria and Tuberculosis; all of which are detrimental to human existence."

Such wit.  Maybe Jammeh can be convinced to move to Los Angeles and start a new life as a stand-up comedian.  For the sake of LGBT Gambians, let's arrange it.
