Making History

A year ago America elected Donald Trump president, and since that moment life has been a challenge for most minority groups.  Transgender folks have taken some of the hardest hits, so today's Election Day news is that much more meaningful.

Danica Roem has captured a seat in the Virginia House of Delegates, making her the first openly transgender person ever elected to a state legislature.

Huge congratulations to this brave pioneer, and gratitude to Virginia voters.  I doubt Trump is concerned by Roem's victory, but Jeff Sessions might be having a Pepto-Bismol night.
